If you would like a Bespoke Design but would also like to be a lot more involved in the creation of your wedding stationery, this could be the perfect solution. Design your own invites, unique to you as a couple, and I will print them for you using all of Calendar's luxury printing resources.
In the studio I have a large traditional press, expert knowledge of the printing process and many years experience working with couples on their wedding stationery. The press currently print two types of luxury printing in-house; Hot Foil and Blind Impression/Debossing. Both add an undeniably exclusive touch to your wedding invitations.
WHAT IS HOT FOIL?
The hot foil process involves engraving a design onto a foil plate (also known as a foil block or die). Then, using heat and pressure, it is stamped onto the card stock leaving the foil design with a subtle impression.
WHAT IS BLIND IMPRESSION/DEBOSS?
The opposite of embossing, the design is stamped on the card using pressure, but no ink or foil, to create an indented impression.
It is also possible to add creative luxurious finishes such as gilt edging and die cutting. All of the usual accessories and coloured card and envelopes are available as part of this service.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
I will require you to send your artwork in either .ai, .eps or .pdf file formats. You can create your artwork by downloading free trials of Adobe CC (Illustrator or InDesign) or you could use websites such as inkscape.rg or canva.com.
The design will need to be vector based in CMYK 100% black and text will need to be outlined. Any drawings will need to be clean and crisp and at the correct scale for printing. Your order will be confirmed on sight of the artwork to make sure it is suitable for this method of printing.
